As a pup Grumpy took Best Puppy Dog at Bath Championship Show, Best Puppy in Show at the South Wales SBTC Open Show and many other first prizes at Championship and Open show level.

In June of 2004 Grumpy qualified for Crufts 2005 at WELKS. He achieved this at his first Championship show of 2004. Also placed first at Southern Counties Championship Show.

Grumpy gained Crufts Qualification for 2006 again at his first Championship show of they year, Manchester 2005.

Grumpy also excels at obedience and has passed the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze & Silver Awards.
